How to Write a Song is your go-to course for learning how to write songs that actually sound like you. Whether you're into pop, rock, or hip-hop, this beginner-friendly course breaks down the fundamentals of songwriting.

You'll learn how to turn your thoughts, feelings and stories into a powerful song and have a blast doing it! 

No music theory or prior songwriting skills are required, just your creativity and love for music. By the end, you'll have an original song to share and the tools to keep writing more.

Tuneagers - Teen Community

Ages: 12-18 years old
Format: Tuneagers Platform + Virtual Events

One-on-one music lessons are a great way to learn how to play music. A songwriting community, like Tuneagers, helps you learn how to make music. With up to eight hours of hands-on learning opportunities each month, you’ll build your songwriting skills and develop as a songwriter. At the same time, you'll build a social network with other music-loving teens from around the world. We are a self-directed and project-based community. Events are encouraged events, not required. Learn at your own pace, in your own way!  

Access:

• Up to 8+ hours of monthly live songwriting instruction
• A community of teen musicians who are passionate about writing original music—all levels are welcome
• 24/7 private platform where members can chat, ask questions, share their songs, and be supported by other teen musicians
• A professional musician and songwriter who provides personal guidance and feedback on your songs
• Potential collaborators from around the world (Magic happens when members connect on our platform and through live events: Find a guitar player or a vocalist. Even form a band!)

We'll explore your favorite songs, learn the techniques behind them, and even write your own music if you're up for it! Lessons are perfect for those who want real feedback, chill vibes, and serious skills.

Format: Live or Virtual Sessions

One-on-One Co-write Sessions are your chance to team up with an award-wining songwriter who will show you, first-hand, tips and tricks of the craft. Whether you're new to songwriting or already writing on your own, we’ll work together to shape your ideas into unique lyrics and melodies that reflect your voice. We'll tackle structure, storytelling, and writer's block. It’s a true co-write, where you’ll learn by writing with someone who’s got your back.
